Overview

Riverlet Press came to this partnership as an illustration client and it grew from there. Over several years the work expanded from single illustrations into a full gift and stationery collection, and into hands-on production work getting their illustrated books ready for the printer.

Three threads run through the relationship: product design — wrapping paper, greeting cards, and gift bags built as one cohesive line; print production — laying out Riverlet's illustrated books in Adobe InDesign, from pagination to press-ready files; and illustration — the ongoing work that started the relationship and kept it going.

01 — The Gift Line

Wrapping paper, cards & bags, designed as one collection

Each pattern was built to move across the whole line — the same illustration language showing up on a roll of wrapping paper, a card front, and a gift bag panel, sized and repeated correctly for each substrate and built with real print bleeds and repeats, not just resized art.

02 — Book Production

Laying out Riverlet's illustrated books for print

Beyond illustration, this work included the production side of getting Riverlet's illustrated books to press — typesetting and pagination in Adobe InDesign, fitting text to art across spreads, and preparing final files to print specification.

A relationship built on the illustration, year over year

The illustration work is what opened the relationship, and it's stayed constant through every product line and book that followed — a consistent visual voice that Riverlet's audience has come to recognize.
